Jagdish Sharan Rustagi was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, as well as the patriarch and spiritual leader of his extended family.  

He is survived not only by his wife of 65 years, Kamla Rustagi, their 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild; in fact, Jagdish Rustagi is survived by an extended family, a large professional community, numerous social spheres, countless university students, neighbors, scholars, and friends.
